Chief Lending Officer Component

Tri State Area Federal Credit Union is looking for a strategic leader to join the credit union in the role of Chief Lending & Compliance Officer. This position will be responsible for Consumer/Home Equity, Mortgage, and Business Lending. Responsibilities include efficient and quality delivery of loan origination, underwriting, closing, and servicing activities; growing the loan portfolio according to the credit union’s overall business plan while maintaining focus on strategic levels of risk; and implementing sound internal controls to protect loan assets.

Compliance Officer Component

The Compliance Officer has primary responsibility for the Credit Union’s regulatory compliance program including internal and external audits. He/she has authority to cross department lines and has access to all areas of credit union operations and has direct lines of communication to Executive Management and the authority to effect corrective actions.

Duties:

Duties include the implementation, and administration of loan policies; Interacting wih members; Underwriting and granting business, residential and consumer loans; contributing to the development of credit union business plans and goals as they relate to lending; directing activities assigned to lenders; providing leadership to ensure appropriate development of staff; and representing the credit union in the local and business community.

Completes research and is the primary credit union contact for all claims. He/she is responsible for supporting and assisting in achieving the Credit Union’s strategic goals. The Compliance Officer must adhere to all policies and procedures while ensuring that all policies adhere to Federal and State Laws and Regulations. The Compliance Officer will be the Credit Union’s policy and procedure expert.

Qualifications:

Experience in the field or a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field is required; Minimum of five years of progressive lending (two in small business lending) experience needed.
