Description:

Niagara’s Choice FCU (Niagara Falls, NY), with $190+ million in assets, six branch locations, 50+ employees and over 25,000 members, is looking for a seasoned professional to fill the role of Executive Vice President. The filling of this position is a critical step as it relates to the future leadership of the credit union. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the credit union is community-chartered and open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Niagara County. Reporting to the CEO, this position oversees daily operations, assists in establishing the strategic direction of the organization and is responsible for helping to ensure the financial stability of the credit union commensurate with the best interest of its members, the employees and the community. Responsibilities include leading, guiding and coaching a seasoned, dedicated staff with an emphasis on providing the highest quality of member service. Positions/functions reporting to the EVP include VP of Branches, VP of Operations, Director of Marketing, Accounting/Investments, and HR. The ideal candidate will be a down to earth, humble and forward thinking individual who has the ability, skills and knowledge to help lead the credit union into the future.

Duties:

Brief summary of job duties includes:

+ Assist the CEO to establish strategic plan and execute the strategic plan of the credit union
+ Assist the CEO in the preparation of, and presentation to the Board, the annual budget.
+ Regular contact with the community, members, members of other credit unions, vendors, trade associations, corporate credit unions, the Board of Directors and associated committees, regulators, auditors and legal counsel.
+ Oversee credit union operations and compliance will all applicable laws and regulations.
+Assist the CEO in developing and adopting a sound organizational plan.
+ Development and implementation of new products and services to serve the membership.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess an established record of accomplishment and successful management experience in a credit union or community banking setting. A four-year-degree in finance, accounting or business administration is preferred (MBA preferred). Candidates must have at least eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive financial services experience with five (5) or more years in a senior or executive management role(s). Must have diverse experience in a wide variety of operational areas including, but not limited to, lending, finance, compliance, retail operations, marketing, facilities, technology and human resources.
