|Preparation of monthly journal entries, supporting documentation and accruals.|
Maintain CECL software; prepare Allowance for Loan & Lease Losses and Loan Loss Provision entries.
Preparation of financial statements, management and regulatory reports including NCUA 5300 and FRB 2900.
Coordination and support of monthly and quarterly closing process.
Responsibility for understanding and explaining account fluctuations.
Analytical review of growth, income and operational expense trends; provide recommendation for improvements
Ensure transactions are properly authorized and are in accordance with company policies.
Respond to expense inquiries by departments outside of Accounting.
Perform responsibilities of position in accordance with federal and state regulations, credit union policies and procedures.
Provide assistance with audit request from internal and external auditors.
Maintain budget software, provide assistance with annual budgeting forecast and monitor/report monthly variances.
Participate, provide input, and assistance for department project implementation.
Recommend changes to improve workflow efficiency.

|Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, plus three – five years of related experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.|
Required Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
Experience Required: General Ledger/Reporting experience, intermediate to advanced level Excel/Word, SQL database
Skills/Abilities: Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Excellent written, verbal communication and analytical skills.
