Description: |
Follow detailed and standardized procedures in performing routine loan clerical operations. Perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union. Assists in providing a wide range of administrative and support services to branch operations that require a broad knowledge of department operations, policies and procedures. Depending upon conditions performs any combination of the duties outlined below.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine transactions, including maintaining existing accounts, processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing with the proper holds placed per Reg. CC and credit union practices.
Provide loan applications and/or information to members and prospective members.
Answer telephone relative to loan questions, provide routine information, and/or route calls to appropriate personnel. Take messages and continue follow through.
Schedule appointments for loan personnel. Maintain and coordinate loan department calendar so members are served with the highest quality.
Provide administrative assistance to appropriate personnel, including updating loan data, processing correspondence, and assembling documentation for member loans.
Ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
Assemble and verify accuracy of loan documentation.
Maintain new and paid loan files.
Cross-sell credit union products and services as appropriate.
Prepare various lending and special reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis as requested by management.
Any other duties assigned by management. |
Qualifications: |
Skills and Abilities:
Three to five years of progressively responsible experience within a financial institution, or an acceptable combination of education and experience necessary to gain the background knowledge to deal effectively with employee and member relations maters.
