Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, the premier employer of the Hudson Valley with $2.4 billion in assets and 200,000 members, offers an exciting corporate career opportunity for a Information Specialist in our Poughkeepsie, NY office.
The successful candidate will implement the HVFCU Sales and Service Success Model when interacting with internal and external members. Interact with members over contact center delivery systems and assists them by offering Credit Union products and services to make the members financial success first priority and become their trusted financial advisor. Perform financial transactions.
Ability to perfoIdeal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
Minimum 3 months of sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment required
Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in a financial institution or retail environment required.
Previous experience in a call center environment preferred.
Demonstrates enthusiasm and a friendly, positive and outgoing personality.
Ability to positively interact with the public.
Ability to read, understand and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with a variety of members and situations and multi-task effectively.
rm basic mathematical functions and accurately perform calculations and transactions.
Ability to use standard office equipment including an adding machine, keyboard, computer and telephone.
Demonstrates initiative to solve problems and improve service for both internal and external members.
The work schedule for this position is 20 flexible hours per week including evenings and Saturdays, when required. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed is required.
